So for my birthday, my friends and I tried out this Pinterest DIY project find 🙂

It’s fairly simple. You hot glue a bunch of cotton stuffing on white paper lanterns, stick an LED light in the lantern, hang it up, and VOILA!

LMAO, shaping the puffs of clouds are hard though. The stuffing was very loose and hard to keep static.

Here’s how mine turned out:

It’s not perfect, but I like it XD. I might add something to dangle from the bottom 🙂

My main thoughts about this trailer revolve around questioning what the story plot will be.

I know that it’s Luke Skywalker most likely talking to his kids, but really! Who’s that girl and dude??? Lol. I’m not as well-versed in the Star Wars universe because I’m a Trekkie/trekker, but I thought Luke and Mara got married, Leia and Han got married, and now their kids’ generation goes through a bunch of drama and a Solo kid goes dark side.

Are these new movies going to go through that?

Hmmm…..I’m so curious! Christmas is so faaarrrr awaaaaayyy….

I guess the best part of this teaser was Han Solo and Chewie, of course 🙂

My Marvel Comic Dress

Please excuse the mess in the bkgd! (‘>_<) I need to organize XD

So I got this dress a while back and, since it’s getting to be summer con season again, I’m going to be wearing it out soon to cons XDDD. I’m wearing a petticoat underneath in the pic. I don’t think I like it with the petticoat, but it’s an option 🙂 This dress will be good during the hot months XD

These are all the pieces to my pretty simple hobbit cosplay.

Pictures seriously do not do this dress justice. The colors are pretty and the fabrics are really nice quality.

I used the hobbit ears that I bought from Katsucon. It’s so funny because I had seen their store on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/TheElvenCaravan) and had faved them, but hadn’t bought anything from them until I saw them at Katsucon, lol. I didn’t even recognize that it was the same store, silly me haha.

Another thing I had was my brown/green canvas backpack which I think goes with the LOTR theme and time period very well.

I wasn’t able to bring this cloak to HobbitCon in Germany because both the dress and the cloak would have taken up waaaaaaayyyy to much luggage space, but it’s still worth a mention because what’s a hobbit without his/her cloak? As the time goes by, I’ll probably add some more stuff to my hobbit outfit. I definitely know I want to add a leather belt with a sheath so I can have a sword and maybe some potion bottles and leather pouches lol. Also, I want leather gloves. I will also be contemplating on putting together a LOTR ranger woman outfit 🙂 or an elven cosplay. I just wish I was elegant enough to even pretend to be an elf lmfao.

I saw some people using this website so I tried it lol.

Basically, you take a selfie and then you upload it to the website. The website then analyzes your picture and guesses your age. It’s one of those websites you go to when you’re bored or just curious.

I think that it predicts your age by looking at the proportions between the size of your eyes, head, and cheeks. Taking a straight-on selfie, I got about my correct age. BUT if you take a selfie from an above angle to make your head look smaller and open your eyes as wide as you can, you can get a younger age. Maybe if you puff your cheeks out too.

LMFAO you might look stupid, but I had fun just trying to fool the website lol.

I didn’t get this teaser. Why is Batman so angry? Yeah, I understand that Superman shouldn’t be worshipped because he’s not god, but I wouldn’t be angry enough to want to hurt Superman until he’s done something horrible.

I guess I’ll just have to wait for more trailers to see.

Though that brings up a good point. I LOOOOVE watching trailers, but I’ve noticed that some trailers give waaaaay too much of the movie away. Case and point, the Avengers. A lot of the jokes and quips were already shown in trailers, teasers, and sneak peeks. If you’ve not careful, you might see too much and watching the movie for the first time might be a bit of a let down. Too many spoilers in the trailers nowadays.

I still love trailers though. I just gotta learn to be careful lol.

I saw people using this app on Instagram and thought it was so weeirrrdddd. And, of course, being me, I like weird stuff lol.

Anyways, with this app you can make a dancing, singing, moving avatar that looks somewhat like you. You take a selfie of yourself, move around the arrows to match your facial features, and then customize colors, clothes, and etc.

It’s VERY amusing for when you are bored….and creepy, but it’s too funny for me to notice the creepiness too much haha.

Okay, I admit it. I get really thrown for a loop when they revamp old cartoons I used to watch as a kid. TMNT for example. I loved the 80s TMNT cartoon. I have the opening theme song on my iPod playing every now and then. And though I found their recent reincarnation in the movie theaters enjoyable, it was still a jarring experience.

Now, Fantastic Four I used to also watch in the 90s. This trailer confused me. Are Sue and Johnny still siblings? Why does everyone look like a teenager? Why was there no space shuttle? What’s Victor Doom’s origin story in this movie-verse? …..Too many questions….

…..*sigh* Okay, we’ll just have to wait and see this August, I guess 🙂

I’m trying to catch up with SpiderGwen. I’m REALLY interested in her story at the moment. So far I’ve only read the first issue and it was only “meh”. I hope it gets better with an interesting plot. I really love her costume. I’m going to try to cosplay her for Awesome Con 🙂 I’ll try . I dont really have that much of an athletic body 🙁

I also got a Thor comic. I’ve seen PepperMonster’s cosplay of her all the time and I got curious about Thor now that Thor is a woman. I wanna know what’s the story.

And I got Doctor Who because why not? I love Doctor Who lol.

I also entered a raffle at the comic book store. Actually, I entered a bunch of raffles this FCBD weekend. Hopefully, I win something XD
