Supernatural – There’s No Place Like Home (S10E11)

Yay, Charlie’s back! –Oh, no, Charlie, why the hell are you beating up that man?!! Ah!!

Lol, that’s my exact reaction to the beginning scene to the episode, haha. Of course, I’ve seen the preview so I could only speculate that maybe Charlie was possessed or something because why would Charlie go around beating up and torturing people?? Even when the boys caught wind of it and found out that she was going after the guy who caused her parents’ accident, I still thought she was possessed because Charlie never seemed to want revenge before.

And then came the WTF moment! A second Charlie just comes driving by!

After that, I felt like it kind of like mirroring Dean’s inner battle with the Mark of Cain. And that good Charlie and bad Charlie were like the classic angel and demon on the shoulders metaphor.

Seeing Dean beat up Charlie–even though it was”dark Charlie”– was pretty brutal and scary though. And you could see that on Dean’s face at the end when he kept looking down at his fist, knuckles covered in Charlie’s blood. Killing those random people in cold blood was bad–very bad–but beating up Charlie, a person he treated like a little sister, calling her “kiddo”, well that kinda just broke him didn’t it. Makes him wonder what he’ll do next. What’ll he do to Sam?

Poor Dean.

Sorry, I had to laugh at you while you ate healthy food and listened to self-help meditation tapes, lol.

Supernatural – The Hunter Games (S10E10)

Okay, I admit it.

I was too scared to start watching Supernatural again after the mid-season finale, lmfao.

I don’t know what it is, but evil Dean scares the crap out of me!! You would think like maybe I’d be more scared of one of the many monsters they’ve had over the last nine seasons, but noooooooo. Evil Dean scares me. Lol. Well, I suppose if you have to try to fit some logic into it, it’s probably because Dean — though flawed in many ways — has always been the protective, older brother, savior figure. He’s supposed to help and protect and make things right in the end, some way, some how. He’s not suppose to be some sort of mindless killing machine O_O Seriously, that episode where he chased Sam through the halls like some sort of Shining-remake (I could’ve sworn that when Dean tore that door, he’d say “Heeeeere’s Dean!” or something lol) is one of the scariest moments in Supernatural for me.

Anyway, back to this episode that I finally worked up the nerve to watch.

Throughout this whole episode, I kept mentally shouting “Where’s Cain?? Ask Cain!!”. I mean, why bother with Metatron. He’s a douche and will only trick ya’ll into releasing him somehow. I guess it’s also because I wanna see Timothy Omundson again lol, but still!

I can’t believe Crowley is falling for his mother’s tricks. I seriously can’t believe it. I mean, he knows her and he knows how she is. How can he fall for her fake concern so easily??? Just listening to her suck up to him sounds so fake (I do love the actress who plays her though)! I guess he just has some really serious mummy issues. Poor Crowley.

And on the daddy issue front is Claire, of course. I really hope things get better for her. It kinda surprises me that for someone who’s been around quite a few shady people, she sure doesn’t know how to identify shady people, lol.

Okie, time for the next episode. Excited to see Felicia Day again lol.

New Ghostbusters Cast

femaleghostbusters

I don’t really see why people are upset over the all-female casting of the Ghostbusters reboot. If they decide to make an all-male cast of Charlie’s Angels in the future, I’d be fine, lol. As long as the Ghostbusters reboot (and possible future Charlie’s Angels reboot) is done well with a good story, good comedic style, and good acting, it could very well be a good movie.

It could NEVER be better than the original of course — but that’s the case with all reboots.

All I know is that I think McCarthy and Wiig are funny (although, I’m not much for dirty humor). Dunno about the other two actresses, but we’ll just have to give it a chance and see, won’t we? Lol.

Battle of the Five Armies

I wrote the following post a way back in December — of course — and I had posted it on tumblr, but I wanted it on here too. So excuse the tenses, if you even decide to read it. I just wanted this post organized on this site. 🙂

MAJOR SPOILERS

Seriously. Don’t read until you’ve seen BOFTA.

I just saw it and had to blog about it, lol.

.

.

.

Alright, so I just came back from watching The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. And just whoa….

So much to say and/or think about.

The killing of Smaug was the opening scene. It didn’t last very long but it was good. Bard is a good man and leader to follow. The death scene of Smaug was very nicely animated. I loved the part where he turns his head up to the sky and you can see the mountain behind him.

Thranduil is just a mean, mean man, lol. He’s very interesting to watch and he’s a very beautiful elf…but he’s so mean haha. I do wonder about the details of his wife’s death. How did she end up in the Gundabad/Angmar area? How well did Legolas know his mother? He didn’t seem to have much memory of her.

Someone had proposed the idea of the necklace that Thranduil wanted so badly from Erebor was his wife’s. I liked that idea. In the movie, Thranduil just said that it was an important heirloom/artifact. It would’ve been nice to see like a flashback or something that connected it to his wife. Make Thranduil just a bit softer lol.

Ah, the romance between Tauriel and Kili. I like those two together. I didn’t at first, but it grew on me. But alas…it was not meant to be, was it?

It was so hard watching Thorin in his madness and paranoia. I just wish someone just had the nerve to get up and smack him right upside the head (lol, cue in Dis: In which Dis is fed up with…). Seriously, just wanted to shake him and be like “WAAAKKKEEE UPPPP IDIOT AND STOP HURTING THE PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT YOUUUU”. Poor Dwalin and Balin TT____TT. Just give up some gold, darn you Oakenshield!!!

It was nice to see that Thorin trusted Bilbo so much though. Such a juxtaposition from the beginning dynamics in An Unexpected Journey. Hmm…I wonder if Thorin should’ve kept that mithril shirt. Could’ve saved him.

…Yes, Fili and Kili died. Knew to expect it, but I was still DISAPPOINTED. Not that they died! I knew they HAD to die, but it’s the WAY they died. It was sooo anticlimactic!!! I think they should have died in this huge ferocious, legendary battle with swords swinging. I thought they had died defending Thorin in the book — and yes, I know this is the movie and I shouldn’t compare it too much to the book to enjoy it, but still!! — I think dying in battle would have been a better death, especially for Fili. Wish I saw more of Fili in here, btw. Kili’s death was okay. Could have been better, but it’s passable.

I found better death scenes for the boys in fan art and vids:

Tauriel….I seriously thought she was going to die. Looking back, I think it would’ve made for a better movie if she did die. Kind of Romeo-and-Juliet-esque. Maybe they’d meet up in heaven even though elves and dwarves go to separate sort of “heavens”.

Speaking of which, I wish Tauriel and Galadriel had better fight scenes. Tauriel fought for only a bit and Galadriel only fought with magic or what not. Galadriel reminded me of the Grudge or the Ring when she was being all powerful and scary, by the way, lol. I just would’ve liked to see more kickass fighting scenes from the ellith.

The end credits was beautiful. I loved the song from Billy Boyd. It’s a must-watch video:

And I love the artwork from Alan Lee and John Howe. I’ve been wishing for their drawing abilities since LOTR, haha.

Other random stuff:

  • I wonder if Alfrid will ever get his comeuppances? Does anyone wonder if he’s like related to Wormtongue?
  • And what’d everyone think of the tie-in with Thranduil telling Legolas to find Strider? Lol. It’s like AHA! Aragorn, boom.
  • But why couldn’t Legolas return home anyways? Or did he not want to? (He did like a funny video game, running/jumping move during his fight with Bolg, btw, lol.)
  • Wouldn’t Aragorn only be like ten years old????? And he’d be in Rivendell with his mum? He’s not even a ranger yet!!! (<– I know people say that the movie-verse timeline is different, but this addition just seems unnecessary)
  • Did Thranduil ever get that necklace from Erebor?
  • Did the dwarves retrieve Fili and Kili’s bodies?
  • Did Dain become king?
  • I saw the random and rare POC in the movie, did you? Lmfao.
  • What became of Tauriel? What became of all the characters we don’t hear about later from LOTR?
  • Where’s the Arkenstone?
  • Why weren’t those worm thingies in LOTR?

Why wasn’t there an epilogue? Sure, I know some of it from LOTR, but there’s still a lot of unknowns here!!

I remember seeing THIS in a behind the scenes video. What ISH DISH?

Will there be like an alternative ending in the extras? That’d be weird. What will be included in the DVD release, I wonder? I LOVE THOSE BEHIND THE SCENES STUFF. CAN’T WAIT!!!

And lastly…

Whale worms or Graboids (from Tremors) ??? LMFAO.

I seriously think they had inspiration from graboids for those whale worms or whatever they were, haha.

P.S. (Or just one more, itty bitty, last thought…)

There’s a lot of naysayers and people who say that the movies ruined the books. Okay, maybe they did. That’s your opinion. No need to ruin it for the people who actually enjoyed the movies. Besides, just think of the movies as separate entities from the books if they offend your perception of Tolkien’s stories so much. Just like how the Avengers or the X-Men movies were okay (I have reservations about the X-Men movies though, lmfao) even though they DEFINITELY didn’t go exactly by the comics. Even Prisoner of Azkaban was good even though it differed from the book.

Just let people enjoy the movies *shrug* Overall, I liked it 🙂

I know there have been many fan-edited revisions of the whole Hobbit Trilogy out, but I have yet to see one. I just haven’t had the time, but when I do, I’ll definitely post something 🙂

Emma Watson as Disney’s Belle

thGMY6NITH

I thought that this had been a rumor forever now, but I guess it’s official now? 🙂 Emma Watson is set to play Belle in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast.

emwatsonBellefacebook

Good for her! I’m very happy for her lol. I think it’s a common childhood dream to have — to be a Disney princess. In fact, I don’t care how old I am; the next time I get to go to Disney World, I’m dressing up in a Disney princess cosplay!!! I just have to decide between which one!

Speaking of which, LadyGeekGirl had a good article about Disney princesses that I’ve always had thoughts about while growing up: Disney Princesses and Feminist Femininity

Strange Magic (2015) – Trailer

I’m really not sure about this movie.

The animation style, and somewhat comedic style, kind of reminds me of Antz.

Antz

Not to say I did not enjoy watching Antz. Although it kind of confused me because I think Bug’s Life came out the same year, lol.

I do like the whole fairies and magic theme, so I just might try to go watch Strange Magic. I just hope the story is good. Oh, and the animation. I love animation.

Badass Women of Sci-Fi – CNN List

badass scifi women1

badass scifi women2

http://www.cnn.com/2014/07/25/showbiz/gallery/scifi-women/index.html

I know that there’s a lot of complain about in this list, but overall, I like it.

I know this list should be called like Badass Women of Sci-Fi/Fantasy/Comics or something. I know they missed some people,  like Milla Jovovich, Kate Beckinsale, Evangeline Lilly, and others. I know that some of the women on this list kinda shouldn’t be on it, but it’s still an enjoyable list to go through!

  1. Supergirl – Melissa Benoist
It’s a promo for a new Supergirl show that should be coming out on CBS soon. I’m all for a female superhero show, as long as it’s well made. I don’t know much about Melissa Benoist, but I judge her slightly for being on Glee, lmfao. That being said, I’d still definitely give this show a chance once it comes out. I don’t have TV, but if there’s a will, there’s a way.
  2. Marvel’s Peggy Carter
I love her. Lol, you’ll hear me say that a lot in this list, btw. I haven’t seen an episode yet, but I’ve heard good things. I was always curious as to what Peggy did after Capt. America “died”. I know I could’ve read the comics –I did wiki– but I usually like movie-verse over comic-verse (Only because comics tend to make things convoluted. Fifty-two multiverses?? Seriously?? LOL, ain’t nobody got time for that.)
  3. Black Widow – Scarlett Johansson
I hope they make a movie for her. She has enough of a history in the comics to make for a good movie — if done properly. She’s a badass. I love that, lol.
  4. Lucy – Scarlett Johansson
I didn’t see this movie, to be honest. I saw a trailer and it, as well as the premise, just didn’t do anything for me. I would’ve loved to love it.
  5. Katniss Everdeen – Jennifer Lawrence
I like Jennifer Lawrence, not sure if I like Katniss though. I never really got into this franchise. However, I will admit that I like Katniss’ strength, in general.
  6. Wonder Woman – Dawn of Justice
When I first saw the Wonder Woman promo picture, I thought “Hell no, Kim Kardashian???” Lmfao. I’m still not sure about Gadot though. And I’m not sure how well Wonder Woman will be presented in this movie. However, I hope Superman and Batman kick ass. Even though Ben Affleck as Batman is a bit iffy.
  7. Buffy Summers – Sarah Michelle Gellar
Lol, how could you not watch this show back in the 90s? Granted I was a bit young, I still watch a few episodes. I watched Charmed more. However, I still loved Buffy’s abilities and strength.
  8. Harley Quinn – Margot Robbie
I have never heard of the Suicide Squad, but when I looked it up, I was interested. The movie will be coming out in 2016 with Jared Leto as the Joker. Harley Quinn has got to be one of my favorite characters. And I think Margot has the look for her, I hope she can act the part as well. I’ve  always liked chaotic characters.
  9. Xena – Lucy Lawless
Haha , I liked watching Xena when I was little. Some things were too graphic and freaked me out because I was a kid, but I loved how she could just kick anyone’s butt!! Greek god or not lol. I’d throw around a Frisbee, pretending to be a warrior princess!
  10. Ripley – Sigourney Weaver
I thought she was an amazing character. Flaws, sure, but the movies were really enjoyable.
  11. Princess Leia – Carrie Fisher
I have a lot of conflicted feelings about Princess Leia, but one thing I have to admit is that she really has a commanding voice and authority. We’ll see how Episode VII goes XD
  12. Sarah Connor – Linda Hamilton
I liked the Terminator movies from the 80s/90s. I really don’t know what to think about this whole reboot thing they have coming out soon that rewrites the WHOLE THING.
  13. Trinity – Carrie-Anne Moss
I always found her character to be very annoying and I’m not sure why.
  14. Uhura – Nichelle Nichols/Zoe Saldana
Sigourney Weaver had parodied this character in Galaxy Quest (<–a must see movie BTW). And the character’s main role was to repeat what the computer said, lol. That being said, I love Star Trek. Star Trek >Star Wars. Uhura was great 🙂
  15. Orphan Black – Sarah Manning
I don’t plan on watching this show ever, lol. I’m sure it’s a great show, but it just did not appeal to me. Maybe I just think it’s too dark for me.
  16. The X-Files – Scully
I am way too young to remember much of this show. But I love the concept. I might go back and try to watch this show.
  17. Lois Lane – Margo Kidder
In all honesty, the old superman movies scared me, hahaha. There was just some elements that freaked me out!! That being said, I did like Christopher Reeve as Superman. Not too sure about Margot Kidder though.
  18. Starbuck – Katee Sakhoff
I tried to watch Battlestar Galactica once, but it got too confusing, lol. I do like Katee Sackhoff though. And the storyline for Battlestar Galactica is actually very interesting.
  19. Michonne – Danai Gurira
I don’t like watching zombie TV shows and flicks. The only one I ever liked was Shaun of the Dead. It was hilarious. However, zombie flicks, in general, just leave me in a bad mood. However, I love the Michonne wields a katana, lol.
  20. Hermione Granger – Emma Watson
Big Harry Potter nerd here. Gotta love Hermione. She was annoying and bossy, but the girl knew her stuff and she knew how to get things done! 🙂 I’m more of a Luna Lovegood personality, but I’ve always been prepared like Hermione.
  21. Catwoman – Michelle Pfeiffer
Michelle was kinda nutty in her role, but I still choose her over Halle (I kinda liked Halle for Storm in X-Men, but I think they could’ve picked someone with a better commanding leadership presence for Storm).
  22. Leela
Haha, Turganga Leela! I love Futurama. Leela was kinda annoying, but she was still pretty badass XD
  23. Game of Thrones – Daenerys
I don’t watch this show and I might just be slightly biased towards if because I feel like, being the big LOTR nerd he is, Martin took too much from Tolkien’s Silmarillion history to use as the history of his own Game of Thrones storyline. *shrug* Also, I don’t really agree with all the gratuitous sex scenes and rape. That being said, Daenerys is a very strong character and I hope that either she or Tyrion or Jon Snow become king or whatever. I love the dragons.
  24. Firefly – Mal
This show has been in my Netflix queue for a while now. I need to find time to watch it since everyone seems to love it!

Tom Felton sorted into Gryffindor on Pottermore, J.K. Rowling responds

Yes, everyone should be sad they didn’t get into Slytherin. Or Hufflepuff. Slytherpuffs forever!!!

Lol, joking of course. I love all the houses because there’s so much good in all of them. People just seem to like to generalize Slytherins as being evil, Hufflepuffs as being stupid, Ravenclaws as being snobs, and Gryffindors as the best people in the world. There is good and bad in each house.

That being said, I’m a proud Slytherin. And everyone says I’m the nicest person they’ve ever met, haha. My best friend is a proud Hufflepuff and she’s far from stupid.

I will say this though. It takes a certain type of people to be actors. I think that’s why Felton and Lynch got Gryffindors. It’s not a bad thing. Nor am I saying that all actors are Gryffindors. I’m just saying there may be common trait somewhere there.

Digimon 15th Anniversary

Old news, but the kids from Digimon Adventure are back!!!!

I’ve always loved this first season more so than all the subsequent ones! I don’t know why the second season kids annoyed me so much, hahaha!

I’ve been trying to rewatch Digimon Adventures in the original Japanese (subbed) right now because you tend to miss out a lot on some details when you just watched the dubbed versions (i.e. “Sailor Moon” and “Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura”). I actually wrote a school paper on the difference between subbed and dubbed animes, lol, yes, apparently, I’m that much of a geek! Haha!

Now, I know there has always been animosity between which series was better, Pokemon or Digimon, but I think it’s all a matter of preference. If we were to pick apart both series, personally, I would choose Digimon over Pokemon. But that’s only because in Digimon, you usually only get one companion creature that you bond with. And in Pokemon, you’ve got to catch ’em all…and celebrate the art of pitting animals against each other in a big arena lol. Oh, and another thing that weirds me out about Pokemon is that I firmly believe that Ash should be as old as me now, but that dude is like immortal or something! Someone, pleassseee stake him or something, hahaha.

That being said though, I’ve loved both series since I was a child and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the this coming Digimon season.

digimon

The art style is different, so we’ll see how that plays out. I just hope the story is good because I’d hate it to be just a sucky storyline that was rushed just so that they could milk this fandom for all it’s worth :/

The Lord Of The Rings: Let it Go Parody by The Hillywood Show®

In all honesty, I have not used WordPress blogs in about a year. I used to run a blog for Pottermore help, but got tired of waiting for more chapters to come out. However, I was really good at running and creating content for it, lol. So we’ll see how relearning all this WordPress stuff goes, haha.

The LOTR Parody from the Hillywood Show is about a month old. I saw it when it first came out and I loved it! I would seriously get chills just watching it! The music is a great adaptation to the Lord of the Rings music style. The voice actors were phenomenal! I love Brian Hull, one of the youtube voice actors that shared Samwise’s voice. Mix the voice acting, music, and Hilly’s acting and you can’t help but tear up a little bit!

Each scene is so well put together. You can recall every scene from the actual movie from the camera angles! I will never comprehend how these girls get funding for their parodies, but they are amazing! I’ve watched every parody of theirs so far and their behind the scenes videos. I recommend that everyone should do the same, haha.

Side note: When Hilly cried in the behind the scenes video, I cried. Aw, so sad!

I did download the parody song and I love singing it. I sang it on the Smule Sing app, but I’m sure people just think I’m nuts, haha!

Smule_logo I love this app, by the way, lol. I just enjoy singing! I’m no good at it, but it does wonders for my stress! 🙂
